From yellow ribbons to red hearts .

Happy Valentine's Day! I can't believe that it's been two weeks since I last posted. Things in my world have been rather topsy turvy of late. Nothing major...just lots going on all at the same time.

I just wanted to say hi to you all - let you know that you've been in my thoughts and prayers. I've been visiting my favorite blogs - you know who you are I think - but not posting here. And of course to send out my love to all of you with loved ones in the military (and TO those you love who serve also). I think that's one of the reasons I've been struggling of late...the things that are on my plate have a lot to do with the future...so they really shouldn't be on my plate yet - should they? Me, the worrier, once a mom always a mom thing...well, you understand. God has it all in His very capable hands, but me being helpful in nature....I like to try to manage them myself.

I should know better by now.

In only a few weeks we'll be visiting Kasey and his mommy and daddy - we badly need this trip I think. Our stay will overlap with Stephen's mom's stay also - but since we have never met our daughter's mom in law, I think this will be a very cool thing. I think it will help both of us help each other through the deployment. What do you think?

So, I am busy each night writing Kasey's book - not a real long one but it will have lots of pictures and it will be all about Kasey and things he likes to do, the people (and doggies) in his life; kind of a memory book but with a story behind it. I'm so excited about it - it will be for his birthday.

My lunch hour here at work is nearly done...but know that I love you all and am grateful for your friendship and all of your kind words in your comments.

Be blessed my friends.

God bless our troops and those who love them.

Sue,
I know you will have a great time visiting with Kasey and of course Stephen and Laurie. I think it will be fun to meet his mom. HUG Kasey for me.
I should do a book for Shannon, just never seem to have time to do anything anymore....soon I'll have my life back.
HUGS my friend,
Karen

Have a great visit with Laurie and family. Safe travel prayers going out your way.
The book is a great idea. I have one for Noah and Gabby. When Noah was younger, he would always want to look at his book. He would say, "Let's read the book of Noah."
I have it full of snap shots from birth to abou 6. It's full now so his pics get put in the regular family album. I started Gabby a picture book and she loves looking at it. You have to watch her though, she likes to rip out pages.
